It Is Time To Think About RaceFest
For those new to Troop 118, the scouts and their families staff Aid Stations for RaceFest. We prepare and distribute cups of water and gatorade to runners as they pass by each Aid Station. In return for this service the RaceFest organizers donate money to Troop 118 that is used to help meet Troop 118's pledge to fund a camp site at Camp Grimes.
RaceFest 2012 is on April 14th. We will need a high level of participation including scouts and family members this year because we will staff all seven aid stations including the one at the Finish Line.
Scouts should wear Class B uniforms for this event.
The document Troop 118 RaceFest Information describes RaceFest and our resposibilities. The Aid Station locations are the same as previous years. The plan is to distribute supplies to Patrol leaders on Monday April 9 for them to take home then bring to the assigned Aid Station on Saturday morning April 14. Detailed maps of each Aid Station location are attached.

Patrol leaders need to identify how many in their patrol, and additional family members, will participate and determine their T-shirt size. This information is required to ensure adequate staffing and appropriate shirt sizes after the event.
Please respond to this message telling me if you have a preference/requirement to serve at a specific Aid Station. Movement is allowed, but I need to know where you will serve so I can determine if there will be adequate staffing at each station.
Family members will not be split up, all family members should attend the Aid Station where their oldest scout is assigned.
New scouts can serve at whichever Aid Station they would like to.
